Long Point Eco-Adventures has three accommodation options, ranging from simple to luxury. Firstly, there are the camping pods, then the wilderness pods, but the wilderness suites are the most luxurious glamping option. They include outdoor showers, private decks, hardwood floors, and a buffet breakfast daily. While they are Canadian designed, the owner’s experience on Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa inspired the suites. A family-owned business on Cape Breton Island, Cabot Shores is an eco-resort with a few different glamping options. Firstly, there are seven yurts on-site, which each have their own decks with lake and ocean views. There’s also a geodesic dome nestled amongst the trees, and it is the only one of its kind on the island. Then there’s the treetop village that consists of three domes, which are known for their breathtaking views, on raised platforms in the property’s apple orchard.

Fronterra Farm, Camp & Brewery
Fronterra is Prince Edward County’s first luxury glamping experience. The log-framed canvas prospector tents are “just the right mix of rustic luxury.” They each feature a king-sized bed, a reading lounge, an en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower, and a private outdoor kitchen and dining area. The kitchen includes an icebox, charcoal grill, tableware, and food from the farm. As Fronterra says, the tents are “everything you need to live a simple, beautiful experience.”

Ocean Village Resort
Directly on MacKenzie Beach, Ocean Village Resort is Tofino’s original waterfront resort. On-site amenities include an indoor heated pool and hot tub, as well as a common outdoor barbecue area. Their cabins are known for their iconic “beehive” construction, and they range from studios to two bedrooms. The most unique option available is The Hobbit, which is Quebec’s first underground dwelling available for rent. It looks like it was taken from The Shire, with a green grassy roof, circular door and windows, and a stone exterior and wooden interior. There’s a tipi fitted with pillows and filled with books about the surrounding wilderness.
