What to expect after COVID-19? We all know that at a certain point we will defeat the virus and we will get back to our, as normal as possible, lives. It will not be different to Canada's economy. Like the entire world, Canada is fighting against the effects of an economic contraction that will come regardless. Some projections say that the world economy will shrink 3% and in Canada, it won't be different. A slow in the economy is unavoidable but is important to us to know which pathway the country will take to recovery. Having immigration as one of the key factors for economic growth we can bet that it will continue in the same projection. There is no economic growth in Canada without immigrants. Immigration helps to fill the labor gaps, replace the retired workers, direct investment and create new jobs. Immigration, banking, and oil/mineral are the engine that keeps Canada's locomotive moving forward. We are sure that in the near future will be plenty of opportunities in Canada, more jobs and investments for immigrants. ... See more

50 million for temporary foreign workers! In an effort to help Canadian employers, the Government of Canada just launched a $50 million program to fund and help to implement the mandatory 14-days isolation required from all travelers arriving from abroad. Recently the mandatory isolation was implemented as an effort to ensure the public health and population well-being. It is not different with hired foreign workers. For all foreign workers that arrive from abroad and must follow the isolation, the Government will help employers that cannot count on those workers for 2 weeks with a financial help up to $1,500 per worker. The program is part of the measures implemented to reduce the spread of the COVID-19.
